Turn the Atari over and remove the 5 screws. Be careful when separating the shell. There are 3 inner holding tabs, one on either end and one in the middle. Use a flat headed screwdriver or some similar tool to bend the tabs like in the picture so you can take the top cover off. No big deal if the tabs break, the screws will properly hold the case together. Remove the motherboard from the case.

View All Reviews Old skool Xbox My three nieces and me had so much fun with xbox when they would visit. Very happy with purchase Reviewed by: I was nervous about purchasing an original XBox, because the one I owned years ago got to a point where it was not able to read any game disc that I put in it. My hope was that a professionally refurbished XBox would allow me to replay some of the games that were not backwards-compatible on the XBox like Gladius and The Warriors.
The refurbished original XBox I purchased through Lukie Games has been working perfectly so far and has had no problems reading game discs that I put in it. I have really loved the nostalgia of getting to revisit these great original XBox games! Bought the xbox console, an extra controller and 9 games. Everything looked brand new.
The console was wrapped and protected very nicely. Games looked brand new. Will definitely buy from LukieGames in the future.

In Hardware I must say, after browsing the site I see how I can fix at least a couple of problems with my original NES unit it flickers half the time, locks up mid play, etc but I would also like to fix a unit I picked up at a thrift store unfortunately I can only use one of the two units as the one I picked up at the store had no POW er I swear it played in color at some point in time, but it doesn’t anymore.

Mon Feb 07, 9: You would plug the NES into the TV, and the NES would output a signal on channel 3 or 4 sometimes there was a physical switch – never controlled in software, mind you to the TV and the TV would demodulate the RF signal and display the image and play the sound. It was done with a “F” connector over coax. The simplest way to do this would be to put a splitter in line with your antenna line, and wire both the NES and your antenna be it Cable or rabit ears through a splitter and then into the TV – but this may interfere with TV watching remember that the NES puts out a signal on 3 or 4.

In General Gaming I’m looking for a small, portable, reliable, older, and affordable television set that any video game system can Hook up to. When I bought a TV I just went into the next electronics store and bought the cheapest they had. I’ve gotten three cheap TVs. The first just didn’t work. The second didn’t even have plugs for AV cables, and none could support my Sega Genesis. We have three TVs in my house, one of which will work with the Genesis.
I’m a failure on my own, so I was hoping someone here would know of any consistant brand names. Wow, you must have bad luck with electronics. The TV I use is around 20 years old and still works.

History of the Nintendo Entertainment System Following a series of arcade game successes in the early s, Nintendo made plans to create a cartridge-based console called the Famicom, which is short for Family Computer. Masayuki Uemura designed the system. A test model was constructed in October to verify the functionality of the hardware, after which work began on programming tools. Because 65xx CPUs had not been manufactured or sold in Japan up to that time, no cross-development software was available and it had to be produced from scratch.

I’ve unofficially inherited the old family Commodore Amiga. I’ve got the old S monitor handy, but I’d love to hook the Amiga up to the television that I use for all my game consoles.
There are converters for the job that can really clean up the signal, but their ability to handle consoles can be difficult to measure in part because of the input lag as mentioned. Your TV also factors into that as well, so you might want to cross-reference the TV you’re looking at with www. Pretty much everything up until the Dreamcast usually had a better option for video outputs, save for a few exceptions. We in America got screwed out of ever seeing this available, but for the most part the consoles still can provide a signal with the right cable.
It’s a huge plus if you know how to solder. Finer points that are console-specific: SNES jr’s would need some soldering to restore the capability, as Nintendo rather inexplicably cut it out of the system, and even cut out S-Video capbability. Thankfully, a Component Video mod is much easier on this system, especially with the right encoder chip on yours. Again, soldering is required But like the SNES, it’s simple to re-enable, and it can use the same cable.
If you go this route, you’ve already got the better part of getting the best signal out of the console.

Has anyone tested a wii with a pc that has composite and s-video inputs? The problem with most pc tv programs is that they have a delay of a few seconds so that they can record video, or let you jump back a few seconds. If you find a program that does not produce any delay, ie does not have a buffer, then it is playable.
I used the program tv time sorry, linux program to play wii last weekend, everything worked just fine, so it is possible. I hooked up the rca cables that came with the wii to my tv tuner card, and started playing. I have never used Window media center, so I dont know if it will produce a delay or not. Here is a way to test it: Connect your cable to the computer.
Enable every input and output volume that you have. If you hear double audio, or an echo, then there is a buffer present, and it will not work with that particular program. There is another way. Viewsonic used to make a cabletv box that allowed you to switch between cable and pc with the push of a button.
